The Sioux Tipi
The name tipi (teepee) comes from the Sioux words ti, meaning “to dwell or live” and pi meaning “used for”. Each tipi consists of Douglas fir poles, fire retardant canvas, a fire pit, futon bed, storage chest, drip catcher and rain hat.
Our Tipis have been open since Summer 2012 and since then we have had lovely guests, many of whom, now return each year. Some even return during the same season!!
We are proud to say that our site has been described as 'having an attention to detail that is second to none' and announced as the Winner of the Brecon Beacons Tourism Award 2016 in the camping & caravanning category. Well Done Rob!!
Supplied in our Glamping tipi are futon beds, central fire pit (for cooking and/or warmth), firewood*, firelighters, basic cushions, solar lights, cool box, gas camping stove and all your essential cooking equipment. Each tipi has its own outdoor BBQ/Campfire, seating and hammock area. They even have their own washing line!!
The tipi guests have use of the communal kitchen block which has more gas cooking appliances, lots more cooking implements and it even has a solar powered freezer where you can help yourself to ice-packs for your cool box.
So pack up your bedding and a sense of adventure and come to Camp Cynrig Glamping Village for a holiday in the Heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park which you will never forget.
