Making the Most of Hot Summer Days at Camp Cynrig Glamping Village

There’s nothing quite like a sunny summer day in the Brecon Beacons. With recent heatwaves bringing plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures, it’s the perfect time to slow down, get outdoors and enjoy a little glamping escape at Camp Cynrig Glamping Village.
If you’re staying with us during a spell of hot weather, here are some of our favourite ways to make the most of it.

🌿 Explore early, relax later
The cooler mornings are perfect for getting out and exploring the beautiful Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Set off early for a walk while temperatures are more comfortable, then return to Camp Cynrig for a relaxed afternoon.
Remember to take plenty of water, wear suitable footwear and protect yourself from the sun — especially on longer walks.
💦 Find somewhere cool
On particularly warm days, look for shaded woodland, riverside walks and places where you can enjoy the natural landscape without being in direct sunshine all day. There is plenty of adjoining woodland to locate your peaceful spot.
There’s also something wonderfully refreshing about sitting outside in the shade with a cold drink after a morning exploring.
🧺 Slow down and enjoy the campsite
You don’t have to spend every minute sightseeing! One of the joys of glamping is having the opportunity to simply switch off and enjoy being outdoors.
Find a shady spot, enjoy a picnic, read a book, play a game or simply sit back and take in the countryside around you. Hot weather is a great excuse to embrace a slower pace of life.
🌅 Make the most of the cooler evenings
As the temperature drops, summer evenings are made for being outside. Enjoy dinner outdoors, watch the changing colours across the landscape and make the most of the longer days.
And if you’ve spent the day exploring, there’s no better feeling than returning to your tent or cabin and settling down for a peaceful evening in the countryside.
☀️ Stay safe in the sunshine
When temperatures are high, remember the essentials: drink plenty of water, use sun protection, seek shade during the hottest part of the day and take it easy when needed.
Keep an eye on the forecast during your stay and plan walks and activities around the conditions. The mountains and countryside are beautiful, but hot weather can make even familiar walks more challenging.
Ready for a summer escape?
Whether you’re looking for an adventurous weekend exploring the Brecon Beacons or simply want a few days of fresh air, sunshine and relaxation, Camp Cynrig Glamping Village is a wonderful base for a summer getaway.
So pack your sun cream, walking boots and favourite picnic blanket — and come and enjoy summer in the Welsh countryside!
